TITLE: Guardians of Pegasus
FANDOM: Stargate Atlantis
PAIRING: John/Rodney, Jack/Daniel
RATING: currently R
WARNING: Vampires, biting, possible spoilers for SGA season 1 pilot.

Summary

There are many legends told about vampires but very few of them are based on fact. Once they were revered, even worshiped, before a few rebels and outcasts convinced humanity that they meant us harm. Now they walk among us, hidden, neither angels or demons. They remember the things that humanity has forgotten and are ready to protect us if needed. The word we’re looking for is guardian.

Notes:

Everyone has The Story That Ate My Brain. This is mine. It's not actually finished yet, but I've got to the point where I need to either finish this or abandon it for good. The lovely popkin16 suggested that posting the completed chapters might fire up my enthusiasm for this project. I've definitely got 3 chapters for you, hopefully a fourth.

Several friends have helped me with encouragement, hand holding and beta reading since I started this.
However it's only fair to warn you that I've made a few changes since the last read though.

Future Writing Projects.

I think I may have got my muses back, as I have got an idea for a new mcshep story, but a part of me thinks I should make an attempt to finish off stories I have already started.

I have the following that made it on to Google drive before the death of the PC

1. Pern sequel to my story Flying in the Face of Tradition

2. Working title Uninvited Guests. This is the next story in my Rodney/Vincent series. The series was going to be my fill for Ancient City Bingo but I missed the deadline. However if there is interest, I'm close to finishing this story, I think.

3. Guardians of Pegasus, otherwise known as the Fic That Ate My Brain. I'm reasonably happy with the first three chapters so I've been toying with the idea of releasing as a part work, but I don't want to let everyone down if I fail to complete. Because this story is something I've been picking at for years.

4. Fix inspired by a picture posted by taste_is_sweet. Sort of Rodney/John but in a completely made up world - sort of LOTR

And sadly that's just the tip of the iceberg!

X-Treme Measures

Author's complaining notes - if you want you can skip this bit!

I started the new year with good intentions to get some writing done and reconnect with LJ but life has been conspiring to stop me. First of all we lost our internet completely and then when I finally got that sorted my computer died.

Fortunately I had some of my stories on Google Drive and the rest are backed up on my memory stick. Since my only wifi enabled device is my phone, I wanted to see if I could publish a story from google drive to LJ.

Fortunately I discovered this un-posted story, which has already been checked by the lovely wanted_a_pony.

Cut and pasted in chrome using no fancy apps, so please excuse any crappy formatting.

More notes This is a sequel to “Guilty Little Secret”, but you don't need to have read that story to follow this one.

SGA Story: How Not to Die in the Pegasus Galaxy

Title How Not to Die in the Pegasus Galaxy.
Fandoms Stargate Atlantis, Dawson's Creek
Prompt Pegasus 101
Word Count 7832
Rating R
Pairings Vincent Sheppard/Rodney McKay

Summary The city of Atlantis and the people who live there, as seen through the eyes of new arrival Vincent Sheppard, cousin of Lt. Col. John Sheppard.

Notes
All you need to know about Dawson's creek to follow this story is that there was a character in it called Vincent, who was played by Joe Flanigan. I've borrowed Vince and recast him as John's cousin Vincent Sheppard, but I've tried to keep as close as possible to the original character.

There are links to some videos on my series index page, in case you want to know more about Vince (or just want to see a younger Joe F).

Brendan Dean from Thoughtcrimes does not actually appear in this story but there are a couple of references to his character.

This story will form the first part of my Sheppard family AU and was written to fill the "Pegasus 101" prompt on my ancientctybingo card.

I'd like to thank both the beta readers who helped make this story much better than it would otherwise have been,  paleom and wanted_a_pony

May contain spoilers for Season 5 of SGA and for Vincent's appearance in Dawson's Creek.

McShep Fic: Rodney's Belly.

Title: Rodney's belly.
Pairing: John/Rodney
Word Count: 380
Rating: PG13. (Contains adult concepts, but I don't think it needs NC17)

Summary: John likes Rodney's belly.

Notes: While sorting through my WIP folder I came across this ficlet, which I must have forgotten to post.

When Major John Sheppard met Dr Rodney McKay, he noticed that the scientist had the most remarkable bright blue eyes. Later, as he got to know Rodney better, he started to notice other things like expressive hands, wide shoulders, strong arms, firm thighs and a perfect heart shaped ass. However it wasn't until he finally had Rodney naked in his bed that he got to appreciate the perfect softness of his belly. It was just the right amount of padding to cuddle up to, without being too soft and flabby. Rodney could never understand why John would spend so much time stroking it, kissing it, resting his head on it. Rodney thought it was just surplus body fat, something he should try to loose.

Rodney was never a model for healthy eating. He was far to fond of junk food from Earth, and always seemed to know how to get hold of his favorite treats. Still, all the exercise off world, running for his life had some effect. The softness of a sedentary lifestyle was slowly replaced by firm muscle. Of course, Rodney never achieved a six pack, but he lost a lot of the soft padding that John loved so much. John tried to convince himself that it was a good thing, but he couldn't help mourning the loss of Rodney's soft belly.

Years passed and John grew older. He was finding it harder to keep up with Ronon on their morning runs. When he saw himself in the mirror now, he wasn't as perfectly toned as he used to be. One evening he was lying in bed with Rodney when he realized that his lover had slithered down the bed and was kissing his stomach, nose almost buried in his belly button.

“Hey Rodney, buddy, what are you doing all the way down there?” he asked, affectionately.

“I like your belly,” Rodney replied, between kisses. “It used to be all hard and uninviting, but now it's all soft and comfy.”

John laughed so hard that he shook Rodney off and they ended up having a pillow fight, but afterwards John let his hands drift over Rodney's body, smiling as he noticed the first signs of the welcome softness that was finally returning to Rodney's belly.
